Quality Assurance
Safe Hands Support reviews and monitors the quality of its service through collating ‘quality’ questionnaires completed by clients, their families or advocates. We are committed to working to stringent guidelines laid out by the Care Quality Commission.

Supervision
Supervision is delivered to staff within the CQC (Care Quality Commission) guidance and in line with the company’s supervision policy. Ensuring our staff feel supported, we encourage personal development through training and one to ones. We hold regular team meetings and review staff performance and their clients needs every 6 weeks.

Spot Checks & Direct Observation
Our Management Team carry out regular direct observation checks. This is to ensure work is carried out to a professional and quality standard and in line with the clients needs. This also gives the Management Team direct contact with our clients and their families building up good working relationships. We observe staff in the usage of equipment, distribution of medication and general care within the boundaries of the Care Plan

Reviews
Reviews are completed with our client and their families to assess if changes or updates are required to the existing Care Plan. We do this with visit to home or via the telephone.

Care Plan
Safe Hands Support will ensure a detailed, personalised Care Plan is implemented for each client. Staff then have a clear outline of their roles and responsibilities and clients and their families can see what service is to be delivered. We also have our Electric Call Monitoring log in which can be seen live and up to date online to show when Carers have visited.

Record of visit book
We provide all of our clients with a Record of Visit Book. This is provided so clients, families/ advocates and Carers are aware of medication taken, food eaten, and any other information that is relevant. This creates good communication between clients and families and their Carers. Carers can relay any of the information in the Record of Visit Book with other colleagues so they know what has been completed on their visit and what is still needed to be done.

Medication Assistance
All staff have undertaken the mandatory training to assist and administer medication to clients. Depending on the clients needs Carers can remind,
assist and even administer medication, adhering to our Medication Procedure.

Holistic Approach
We have regular contact with clients and their families, keeping them informed and to build up a professional relationship with them where we can all work together. Our staff understand the importance of good working relationships and endeavor to present Safe Hands Support in a professional manner at all times.

Electric Call Monitoring
With our electric call monitoring clients and their families can log in directly through this website to see the daily schedule set out for that particular day or week, which Carer will visit and when they have actually visited.

Working with other Professionals
Safe Hands Support liaise on a regular basis with other agencies and services within the Borough. Working daily with social workers we can be assured our clients are safe and receiving the best possible care and assistance. We work alongside health professionals, understanding medical requirements or health programmes in place for the client. With Multi agency contact and communication Carers can encourage clients to keep a healthy, comfortable and safe lifestyle.
